Redline - the concept of a network of Express delivery, is able to cover the area of the whole continent with the help of drones
Delivery system Redline
One area of practical application of small UAVs and ground-based robot vehicles are service Express delivery of different products to their buyers. A major player in this field for quite some time is a well-known Internet company Amazon, which promises using drones to deliver the purchased goods to any point in less than 30 minutes. However, this endpoint needs to be within flight range of the UAV and in the near future such systems will be able to cover only major cities and their surrounding suburbs.

But on earth there are regions not covered no services Express delivery, but also services the normal delivery of small aircraft, cars, etc. To resolve this issue, Jonathan Ledgard (Jonathan Ledgard) and Lord Norman foster (Lord Norman Foster) came up with the idea of creating a delivery system, Redline, in which the main role is played by small unmanned aerial vehicles, having a design more resembling the structure of a conventional aircraft.
Unfortunately, this idea is only at a very early stage and, possibly, its practical implementation, it will not happen. However, according to available information, one can imagine the potential of this system, which is able to ensure quick delivery of essential goods even in the remotest corners of the globe.

As an example of using the system selected Redline Rwanda, one of the African countries that are experiencing huge problems with logistics. However, similarly, this system can be used in other places, such as mountainous areas of Scotland, Quebec, the Australian expanses, and, of course, to any place in Africa.
"Unmanned cargo aircraft that can move a relatively small load will be very, very simple, and the cost of each aircraft will not exceed the cost not the most expensive motorcycle," says Jonathan Ledgard, "It will allow without huge investments to create a fleet of such vehicles, and the construction of a base station, on which you will be loading, unloading and refueling of UAVs, will cost no more expensive than building a gas station."
