The company Terrafugia is trying to create a flying car robot

Until recently the development of robotic vehicles and flying cars were moving on their own and not cross paths. But recently notorious company Terrafugia has decided to arrange the intersection of the above lines and this intersection should be the project of a flying car robot called the TF-X(TM), sometime in the misty future, will be able to travel on roads and fly in the sky all by itself, without any human intervention in this case.

As a demonstration of what will be a flying car TF-X(TM), the company Terrafugia has published an animated video. According to available information, this car will be able to perform vertical takeoff and landing, flying at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour (200 mph) and cover a distance of 800 kilometers (500 miles) on one tank of fuel or a single battery charge in the case of an electric version.

All this sounds and looks quite attractive and tempting, but it's one thing to create a cartoon, and quite another to design, manufacture, test, certify and put into production such a flying car-robot.
